Description:

This seminar explores how the law addresses the interests of children and the relationship among those interests, parental interests, and state interests. Specific legal issues covered will include state-sanctioned restrictions on the rights of minors, children's rights and welfare in schools, the interests of children in cases of alleged abuse and neglect, government responses to youth criminality, and children's rights in international law.
