DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION: The NC Business Court is a specialized forum of the NC Superior Court Trial Division. Cases involving complex and significant issues of corporate and commercial law in our state are assigned by the Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court to a special superior court judge who oversees resolution of all matters in the case through trial. DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT WORK/PROJECTS: Conducting legal research, drafting memos, orders and opinions, observing courtroom and chambers proceedings.

COURSE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES FOR STUDENT: Keen critical thinking skills, with an interest in business law. Exceptional writing skills demonstrated through completion of writing intensive coursework or experience. Minimum of 3.5 GPA. Certification under the State Bar Student Practice Rule is NOT required. The following items are required for all candidates: Resume, Cover Letter, Academic Transcript, Writing Sample of 10 pages or less, 1 Letter of Reference.
