Work Description

DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT WORK/PROJECTS:

  • Draft memoranda evaluating petitions seeking the Court's review of lower court decisions.
  • Perform legal research for opinions, concurrences, and dissents.
  • Prepare bench briefs on cases being argued before the Court.

COURSE OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES FOR STUDENT:

  • Superb legal research/writing ability (required).
  • Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Criminal Procedure (preferred).

PAST EXPERIENCE WITH STUDENT EXTERNS:

None.

MEANS OF SUPERVISION/FEEDBACK:

Site Supervisor will routinely review extern's work and offer detailed evaluations of the same.
