Work Description

IQVIA is the world’s leading provider of biopharmaceutical services. With a network of more than 27,000 professionals working in more than 80 countries, we have helped develop or commercialize all of the top 50 best selling drugs on the market. With extensive therapeutic, scientific and analytics expertise, we help biopharmaceutical and health sciences customers navigate the increasingly complex landscape with more predictability to enable better outcomes.

Research projects in various areas of food and drug law, clinical trials, privacy laws in the U.S. such as HIPAA and around the world (Europe, Asia), health law and policy.

Research projects involving drafting or editing various internal policies, procedures, legal memos, white papers, guidelines. Provide legal support under supervision of the site supervisor to internal customers (Quintiles’ employees) to help with key strategic initiatives, implementation of new laws and regulations, establishing internal policies and procedures, reviewing contract provisions pertaining to data protection or regulatory requirements.

Although not mandatory, if available, courses in any one or more of the following would be helpful to the student extern:

Food and drug law, Privacy law; Regulatory law; Health law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law

We have several internal courses on numerous topics that the student extern would take upon arrival as applicable to the assigned projects. There will not be any direct client representation or practical courtroom experience involved.
