Work Description

DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION: Conduct litigation and appeals and provide counsel to North Carolina Department of Environment & Natural Resources on permitting and enforcement issues. Also represent state in wide variety of criminal appeals.

DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT WORK/PROJECTS: Interns will conduct legal research, assist with trial preparation, and assist in drafting briefs and memoranda.

COURSE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES FOR STUDENT: Prefer third year students who have taken an environmental law class. Has space for three externs.

No Summer option.
