DESCRIPTIONS OF ORGANIZATION: GlaxoSmithKline is a pharmaceutical company with head of operation in Research Triangle Park.

DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT WORK/PROJECTS: Prepare and prosecute patent applications; licensing due diligence; review invention disclosures; work with review of proprietary inventions made at Glaxo in chemistry, chemical engineering or biotechnology. Students will complete research about patents and patent law.

COURSE OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES FOR STUDENT: This site has specific requirements; please note: BA Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering. Interest in patent work.
