Work Description

DESCRIPTIONS OF ORGANIZATION: Office for judges hearing civil cases where damages are alleged to be in excess of $10,000.00 and criminal cases involving alleged felony charges and misdemeanor appeals.

DESCRIPTION OF STUDENT WORK/PROJECTS: Researching case law, reviewing motions and complaints, drafting and reviewing proposed orders, reviewing judgments for accuracy and any other duties assigned by the superior court judge.

COURSE OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES FOR STUDENT: Criminal law and procedure, civil procedure, contracts, Torts, evidence and constitutional law preferred. Insurance law and sales and secured transactions helpful.
