Peter Cline

Class of 2019

Where is your hometown?

Garden City, NY

Why did you choose UNC School of Law?

I chose UNC due to the high academic standing of the law school, and the strong reputation of our outstanding faculty. Plus, UNC is a tradition for many of my family members, both at undergraduate and graduate levels.

What was your focus of study in undergrad?

Accounting & Business Administration

If you worked before coming to law school, what did you do?

I graduated from Washington and Lee in 2016. However, I have worked during summers in law firms, as an intern for United Bank of Switzerland, and as a teacher’s assistant at Columbia University.

What do you want to do with your law degree?

While it is still early, I have an interest in corporate transactions.

What is one thing you’re looking forward to in law school?

The learning process- Prior to starting classes I was told to expect a different teaching and learning process. While only several weeks into the semester, I am thoroughly enjoying expanding my learning capacity. We are taught by esteemed faculty and connected to an ambitious and diverse group of people.

Tell us something about yourself that we otherwise wouldn’t know or may be surprised to learn.

I played football at Washington and Lee University where we won two conference championships during my four years.
