The UNC Law Alumni Association Board of Directors is proud to announce its alumni award recipients for 2015. The school and the Law Alumni Association will honor three exceptional graduates at the annual Law Alumni Weekend Leadership and Awards Dinner, Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the Honorable Sarah E. Parker '69, retired chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. The Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to John Charles "Jack" Boger '74, dean and Wade Edwards Distinguished Professor of Law at UNC School of Law. The Outstanding Recent Graduate Award will be presented to Christopher Brook '05, legal director, ACLU of North Carolina.
"We are tremendously excited about this year's Leadership and Awards Dinner," says Kris Jensen Davidson, associate dean for advancement. "We expect a large turnout for our three outstanding recipients. This event, which annually highlights Carolina Law's exceptional alumni, students and faculty, will be also be, in part, a farewell dinner for Dean Boger as he completes his tenure as dean."
