On Friday, Sept. 25, the third annual UNC School of Law Alumni Association Golf Classic brought together 75 alumni and 17 students for a great cause at UNC’s Finley Golf Course. The Golf Classic raised more than $30,000 in support of law student scholarships.
"Our alumni volunteers work tremendously hard year-round to make this event a great time for all, and most importantly, to provide much-needed scholarship assistance," said Louise Harris, regional director of advancement, at the 19th Hole Reception. "The students here today represent the true meaning of why we host the Classic." Read more.

Firm Campaign Moves to Fall Semester
Carolina Law announces the 2013 Fall Firm Campaign, which runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31. With $433,590 raised from 75 percent of participating alumni last fiscal year, the annual Firm Campaign remains one of the School’s most important annual fundraising initiatives. This year, the Firm Campaign has transitioned to the fall in order to help simplify and consolidate charitable giving in advance of the Dec. 31 tax deadline.
If you have already contributed to Carolina Law in the 2013 calendar year, please consider making a second gift of support during the fall Firm Campaign. Gifts help Carolina Law maintain its competitive edge by supporting scholarships, grants and career placement and networking opportunities, and helping the law school sustain a tuition rate which still remains one of the lowest among peer schools.
