On October 7, 2016, North Carolina Law Review will host its seventeenth annual symposium, “The Role of Law in Promoting Entrepreneurship.” The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Kenan Center, located at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. The Symposium will explore the legal community’s involvement in promoting, fostering, and cultivating entrepreneurial businesses. The event will feature several panel discussions with distinguished legal professors and practitioners from across the country. Planned topics of conversation include angel investing, crowdfunding, and the evolving transaction structure of venture finance.

The event is open to the public, but all attendees must register in advance in order to attend. Admission is free for enrolled students, faculty, and staff from the University of North Carolina. Admission for non-UNC affiliates is $50.00, payable by cash or check on the day of the event. All registered attendees will be provided breakfast and lunch at the event. All attendees are also invited to attend a reception following the Symposium at the Kenan Center from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. Please visit the following website to register for the event:
