Representative John Szoka represents NC House District 45, Cumberland County.  Rep. Szoka is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army, and has owned and operated several small businesses in Fayetteville. He is a long-time advocate of energy independence, energy efficiency, and consumer choice. 

As one of the architects of North Carolina’s new renewable energy legislation (House Bill 589, “Competitive Energy Solutions for North Carolina”), Rep. Szoka is at the forefront of energy policies in our state.  We welcome him to Carolina Law to provide his perspective on the state’s new renewable energy and on North Carolina's energy policy going forward.
