Classroom 4085

The CDO and the Hispanic/Latino Law Student Association encourage all diverse 1Ls to attend the annual Summer Diversity Opportunities Information Session and Welcome Back Celebration on January 11 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in 4085.  McGuireWoods is generously sponsoring this program and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Don’t miss this important program where we will discuss the procedures for applying to the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession Committee's Summer Associate Program ("MIP SAP") as well as provide details about the Mecklenburg County Bar's Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship (CLDC) program. Both programs place current 1Ls in law firms and corporations during the summer of 2018. We will also provide you with guidance regarding drafting your essays for CLDC and MIP SAP and the interviewing process in general. 2Ls and 3Ls, as well as Carolina Law alums from McGuireWoods, who have participated in these programs will be in attendance to discuss their experiences. Finally, we will discuss additional opportunities in North Carolina as well as numerous out-of-state minority and diversity summer associate/clerkship programs for the summers of 2018 and 2019.
