Tabling and information about the March 8 movie screening: 'Fantastic Lies':

A documentary examination of the accusations of sexual misconduct against the Duke University lacrosse team.

Fantastic Lies, shown as part of ESPN’s 30 For 30 documentary series, is a film by Emmy award-winning filmmaker Marina Zenovich about a false accusal of sexual assault in which a DA engaged in serious professional misconduct. On March 13th, 2006, the Duke University lacrosse team had a party. What happened there became a nightmare that changed lives and ruined careers. The movie looks at how a false accusation destroyed reputations, how a DA acted inappropriately and illegally, and how a media-obsessed country rushed to judgment. The movie profiles the work of current NCAJ President Bradley Bannon, NCAJ Past President Joe Cheshire, former Criminal Defense Section Chair Kerry Sutton, and other members of the defense team who brought the truth to light.
