Constitution Day Address by Professor Gene Nichol E-mail Tweet Google+ Export Event: Date: Friday, September 16, 2011 Start Time: 12:00 PM End Time: 1:00 PM Location: Rotunda Description: Each year on September 17th, U.S. universities take time to celebrate and commemorate the day on which the Constitution of the United States was signed. This year, because the 17th falls on a Saturday, Constitution Day will be observed on Friday, September 16th. Constitution Day presents an opportunity to reflect upon the deeper meanings of the Constitution and the hopes it embodies for the future of the country and the world. For the past several years, UNC School of Law has served as host of the University of North Carolina's Constitution Day celebration. We are pleased to do so once again this year. Please join us on Friday, September 16th at noon in the Rotunda for this occasion. This year's Constitution Day address will be delivered by Professor Gene R. Nichol, Boyd Tinsley Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Center on Poverty, Work & Opportunity. Please join us for Professor Nichol’s talk and for light refreshments.
