Eric Stein is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Consumer Protection at the U.S. Treasury, and played a key role in drafting Title X of the Dodd-Frank Act, creating the new Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB). He currently works for Self-Help, and will talk to Carolina Law students and faculty about his experience in Washington, DC, and the current state of consumer financial protection.
