The Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Sovereignty Symposium, Inc. will host Sovereignty Symposium XXVI on June 5-6 at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  One full scholarship (tuition, meals, and travel up to $750) will be awarded in the memory of Susan J. Ferrell, who served as Attorney Advisor in the Oklahoma city office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 9 years.  Much of her work concerned HUD's Native American programs, and she was actively interested in Native American history and culture.

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in and contribution to Native American legal issues by submitting a letter.  There is no formal application form.  Please include name, address, and day and evening telephone numbers in your letter by April 1.
