The Carolina Intellectual Property Law Association will host IP in the Age of Innovation on April 5, 2013 at the University of North Carolina School of Law. The seminar will focus in great depth on two timely and controversial patent law topics: gene patentability and America Invents Act (AIA) developments.  The seminar will also cover strategies trade secrets and intellectual property licensing.


The workshops will be taught by area intellectual property professionals including Joshua Nifong (Olive Law Group), John Conley (William Rand Kenan Jr. Professor of Law, UNC School of Law), and David D. Kalish (Coates and Bennett, LLP). The event is free. Following the event there will be a 1 hour networking event held in the rotunda with light hors d'oeuvres.
