Lynn Boone and Maria Mangano of the Career Development Office will discuss the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession Summer Associate Program (MIP SAP) as well as the Mecklenburg County Bar's Charlotte Legal Diversity Clerkship Program. Both programs place current 1Ls in law firms and corporations during the summer of 2014. They will also be discussing various out-of-state minority and diversity summer associate/clerkship programs for the summers of 2014 and 2015. Carolina Law students have been very successful in securing positions in these programs. 2Ls and 3Ls who have participated in the programs will be on hand to discuss the interviewing processes as well as their summer experiences.
