Diversity off-campus interview programs are an excellent supplement to OCIs. They occur this summer and early fall for summer 2014 positions. A few programs interview for permanent positions. Come learn about the Southeastern Minority Job Fair, a very large and successful off-campus interview program that targets minority students which will be held in Atlanta in late July. Registration through Carolina Law's Symplicity opens on Thursday, April 4. This program is very popular with Carolina Law students. We will discuss important dates, as well as the guidelines and procedures for this program.

In addition, information about a number of other diversity off-campus interview programs across the country will be covered. Geographic locations include Boston, Delaware, and San Francisco to name a few. Among these programs are those that target and/or encourage students from a variety of different backgrounds to participate, including ethnic and racial minorities, LGBT students, disabled students and women.

Students who have participated in SEMJF and other similar programs, and have secured summer positions through these programs, will be in attendance to share their experiences. Please note that employers who participate in SEMJF and many of the other diversity programs are from a wide range of practice settings including law firms, government agencies, corporations and public defenders' offices.
