Carolina KickStart (CKS) is a core program of the NC Translational and Clinical Sciences (TraCS) Institute. The program was developed to provide support for faculty in commercializing biomedical technologies through startup generation.
Specific objectives include:
Educate faculty and students on how to commercialize technology through company formation
Fund promising technologies and emerging companies through a grant program
Connect faculty with outside resources that can provide services, advice, funding, and management expertise
Create incubation services and expertise to early-stage companies.
