The Career Services Office is committed to assisting Carolina Law students and alumni in identifying personal and professional goals and in finding satisfying employment based on those goals. We teach job search skills and provide students with both support and opportunities to explore career options. Career Services further seeks to foster mutually beneficial relationships between students, alumni and employers.

Starting Salaries
Salary information was reported by 65% of our graduates in the Class of 2007. The starting salaries ranged from a minimum of $32,000 to a maximum of $160,000. The median starting salary for the class was $95,000, and the average starting salary for the class was $90,805. The median starting salary for graduates entering into private practice was $115,000; for graduates entering into the business sector, the median starting salary was $77,500. Graduates entering into public interest (including nonprofit and legal services organizations) had a median starting salary of $45,000; for graduates entering into the government sector (including judicial clerkships and military service), the median was $43,250.
