Environmental Law as a discipline has entered middle age, and we accordingly have a substantial body of academic work and scholarship on which to call in trying to solve problems in the environmental area through laws and regulations. However, in many cases, folks engaged in current environmental policy debates may never have read, or simply forgotten, key ideas and pieces from the past. We feel that it is time to re-examine and re-appraise past scholarship. To that end, CLEAR is launching its Environmental Law Scholar selection, which will introduce or re-introduce an environmental scholar to our audience, and examine the arc of their scholarship, with particular focus and attention on specific pieces. In addition to re-examining past scholarship for our on-line audience and Facebook feed, CLEAR also sees this as a remarkable educational opportunity for students at UNC, who will do the primary analysis of a scholar's work. We hope you enjoy reading this new feature as much as we are enjoying producing it.
The first Monday of the month, that month's selection will be posted here. The posting will also be on our Facebook feed, so please "like" CLEAR on Facebook to have each selection delivered to your door.
