UNC Center for Media Law and Policy

The UNC Center for Media Law and Policy was developed by UNC School of Law and UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communications in 2004. The center provides a forum for study and debate about the important media law and policy issues facing the state and nation. The center's goal is to enhance the discussion of media law and policy issues by bringing together people who represent a diversity of informed views.

The center hosts a variety of speakers from around the world. Center events range from formal lectures to intimate dinners, from moderated debates to classroom visits. Students, faculty and scholars from a variety of disciplines, as well as lawmakers, attorneys, journalists and the public attend the center's events.
