DEFINITIONS OF FEE CATEGORIES

  • Government/Non-Profit: Rate for full-time University Counsel, JAG, Active Duty Military, Legal Aid, Judge, Federal, State and Non-profit attorneys only.
  • Paralegal: Rate for full-time paralegals (choose any 6 hours only).
  • Student: Rate currently enrolled University student and NOT seeking MCLE credit.

pAperless event: download your materials ahead of time!

Your Festival materials and evaluations will be available for download before the conference. Save them onto your electronic device and avoid carrying around a heavy binder! Two weeks prior to the conference you will receive an email reminder so that you can download all the presentation materials onto your laptop or tablet directly. (Downloading FAQsPDF) ***Printed materials WILL NOT be provided.***

FRIDAY lunch

A lunch buffet provided by The Friday Center is available for an additional $25.

CLE Credit

The Carolina Law Office of CLE will report credit to the NC State Bar after the program. This conference has been approved in its entirety for 12 CLE credit hours by the NC State Bar. Credit hour categories include General, Ethics/Professional Responsibility, and Mental Health/Substance Abuse.

The Friday Center

The Festival of Legal Learning will be held at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education, located approximately three miles east of the UNC-Chapel Hill campus on Friday Center Drive, just off N.C. 54 (Raleigh Road). Download directions to the Friday Center (PDF).

Note: Parking at the Friday Center is free with parking pass (do not park in the commuter lot).

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, please refer to the School of Law's website at http://www.law.unc.edu/cle/ for information about delays or cancellations. You may also contact the CLE office at 919.962.1679 to learn of any possible delays or cancellations. On the days of the program, you may contact the Friday Center directly at 919.962.3000.

RECEPTION AFTER FESTIVAL

The UNC Law Alumni Association and the Carolina Law Club of the Triangle invite Festival attendees and local Carolina Law alumni to a reception on Friday, February 12, from 6:30  to 8  p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, 100 Marriott Way off of Friday Center Drive and 54. This informal gathering will provide an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet others in the legal community. We hope you will join us!
