Lynn joined the Career Services Office in November 2006. She counsels students and alumni on all aspects of job searching and career development, with a particular interest in issues relating to diversity in the legal profession, positions as in-house counsel, and intellectual property law. Lynn relocated to North Carolina from Chicago after serving as Associate General Counsel in the law department at Sears, Roebuck and Co. where she managed the company's Intellectual Property Group. She also did a stint at the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency's regional office in Atlanta, was Of Counsel at Shook, Hardy & Bacon in Kansas City, and clerked for the Honorable Calvin C. Campbell at the Illinois First District Appellate Court.
Lynn is a member of the Illinois State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession Committee. She co-chaired that committee's Summer Associates Program in 2008-2009. She also served on the executive board of the Southeastern Minority Job Fair in 2011. Lynn has extensive mentoring experience with junior lawyers and has shown a special commitment to minority law students and lawyers.
