Ms. Shelby H. Mann is Director of Facilities for over 150,000 square feet of space at UNC Law. Shelby maintains the day to day problems of running a facility of this size, which has more than 1000 occupants. She also oversees Carr Mill Annex where currently some of the staff and administration are stationed. Shelby oversees parking, security, van shuttle, UNC-One Card, room rentals, grounds and off site storage. She also handles projects regarding building maintenance, ordering furniture, repairs, and space needs for faculty, students and staff.
Shelby has been at UNC Law for more than thirty years, working as the Administrator for the Clinical Programs for fifteen of those years. Shelby currently lives in Graham with her husband Bobby and daughter Kelly. She has an Associates Degree from Alamance Community College, and also graduated from UNC's University Managers Program in 2008. Shelby has served on several committees, including Search Committee for Assistant Dean for Information Technology, Assistant Dean for Finance. She helped create Holiday Cheer for needy families and served as chair for several years, and assisted in developing the Staff Recognition Award. She has served on the New Building Committee, served as chair for State Employees Combined Campaign, and also served as a representative on the Employee Forum. Shelby was the recipient of the Staff Recognition Award in 2007.
