Glenn George served on the faculty at UNC School of Law from 1999-2006 and returned in the fall of 2008. She also served on the faculty at William & Mary from 1983-88 and 2006-2008, and at the University of Colorado from 1988-1999. She also practiced law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles.
George has authored articles in the Yale, Minnesota, Boston University, Tulane, George Washington, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Colorado, Wake Forest, and William and Mary law reviews, as well as articles in women's law journals at Yale, UCLA and Texas and articles in sports law journals at Hastings, Marquette and Virginia.
She served as the associate vice president for human relations and risk management for the University of Colorado system, as interim general counsel for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and as chair of the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. In spring of 2009, George was awarded a Fulbright and taught at the University of Sichuan in Chengdu, China. Her areas of specialization are civil procedure, employment discrimination, entertainment and sports law, and labor law.
George earned her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from Harvard University School of Law.
