Visiting assistant professor Kevin Haynes, formerly an assistant professor at UNC School of Law, has taught in the law schools at Duke, Chicago-Kent and American University. He clerked for Judge J. Dickson Phillips on the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and practiced corporate law at Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton in Raleigh and in Houston and Palo Alto, CA.
Haynes earned his B.A. from Rice University and his law degree from Stanford. He has held fellowships in law and the humanities at Cornell University and at the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke.
He has taught a variety of business-related courses at UNC, and will teach Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Contracts during the 2009-10 academic year.
