The Balance Sheet

Welcome to The Balance Sheet, the NCBI's online publication and forum for current issues facing financial institutions, attorneys, judges, policymakers, and scholars in the banking industry.

The Balance Sheet is specifically designed to capture the discourse on a wide variety of current issues and current legal events that would not normally be suited for the journal's publication schedule. The Balance Sheet aims to provide real-time access to the most interesting and up-to-date issues that are affecting you in the banking industry.

The Balance Sheet provides you with the opportunity to submit and circulate ideas on a particular issue related to the legal aspects of the banking industry or in response to a particular Article or Note in a NCBI volume (which may be viewed on the "Volumes" pages).

In addition, The Balance Sheet may include papers that UNC Law students have prepared for an independent study or seminar course. These papers (which NCBI staff will not edit or cite-check) will be made available on The Balance Sheet to further disseminate high quality student work in the area of banking and finance.
