Description:
This seminar explores how the law addresses the interests of children and the relationship among those interests, parental interests, and state interests. Specific legal issues covered will include, but are not limited to, government restrictions on children's constitutional rights, children's rights and welfare in schools, the interests of children in family law, and children's rights in international law. The seminar does not address the juvenile justice system.
