Employment Law

Topics covered include defining the employment relationship, duties of employees, foundations of the at-will doctrine and its exceptions, issues involving employee speech, privacy, and a survey of the federal regulation of working conditions (e.g., wage and hour, family and medical leave, health and safety, and employee benefits). The course will examine both national and state law.
