This course will be taught by two visiting faculty members from UNC's partner sites of Augsburg University Law School in Germany and Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Each professor will teach on issues of importance in European law.

The first module "EU Law - Institutions and Judicial System" is to be taught by Professor Volker Behr and will focus upon the European Union and various institutions, organizations, and communities within it such as the European Parliament, the European Court of Justice, the Council of Europe, the European Free Trade Association, and their statuses, influences, and actions both within and outside of the EU.

The second module "EU Law and the Internal Market," to be taught by Professor Anne Looijestijn-Clearie will concentrate on the Internal Market and the Basic Freedoms, focusing also on the Law of Harmonization and Intellectual Property.
