Smith section Fall 2013: Presumptions and standards of proof and persuasion, relevance, privileges, hearsay, Confrontation Clause, other crimes evidence, lay, expert and scientific evidence, examination and impeachment of witnesses. Throughout the course we will examine the behavioral and philosophical assumptions that drive the rules and methods that we discuss.
