- B.A., English (cum laude), Wake Forest University
- M.A., Mass Communications (with honors), University of Georgia
Prior to joining UNC School of Law in 2011, Allison worked for three years as communications director at UNC Charlotte's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and three years as public relations director at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. She got her communications career start in university press publishing, where she worked for nearly a decade.
