James King 1L presents his oral argument during the 1L Holderness Moot Court Tryout Competition before a panel composed of Justice Barbara Jackson '90 of the NC Supreme Court and Judges Lucy Inman '90 and Robert N. Hunter '73 of the NC Court of Appeals.

King was the winner of this year's Aycock Award, which goes to the winner of the oral advocacy portion of the 1L Holderness Moot Court Tryout Competition. The annual competition is managed by 2L and 3L students of the Holderness Moot Court teams and their faculty sponsor, Donald T. Hornstein, the Aubrey L. Brooks Professor of Law.
