M. Gerhardt Joins Tenth Amendment Panel at Federalist Society Convention

Michael J. Gerhardt, Samuel Ashe Distinguished Professor in Constitutional Law at UNC School of Law and director of the UNC Center for Law and Government, joins the opening showcase panel at The Federalist Society's annual convention on Thurs., Nov. 18. The theme for this year's National Lawyers Convention is "Controlling Government: The Framers, the Tea Parties and the Constitution."

The panel "Enumerated Powers, the Tenth Amendment, and Limited Government" is from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Hon. J. Harvie Wilkinson III, chief judge of United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, will moderate. Other panelists include:

  • Randy E. Barnett, Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Legal Theory, Georgetown University Law Center
  • Hon. R. Edward "Ted" Cruz, Partner, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP
  • Michael Stokes Paulsen, Distinguished University Chair and Professor, University of Saint Thomas School of Law
  • Mark V. Tushnet, William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law, Harvard University Law School
