President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Va., Jeff
Lacker, will address bankers and their lawyers, as well as UNC School of Law
students, during the Center for Banking and Finance's annual Banking Institute.
Lacker will be speaking about "A Program for Financial Stability."
The Institute, a continuing legal education conference
scheduled for March 29-30 in Charlotte, N.C., will host other speakers,
including Roy Cooper, North Carolina attorney general; Robert J. Johnson Jr.,
general counsel, corporate secretary, and chief governance counsel at BB&T;
and Margot Saunders, of counsel for National Consumer Law Center.
There will also be panel discussions on The Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau, Dodd-Frank Act Regulatory Implementation, Basel
III and Capital Under Dodd-Frank, The New Role of Community Banks and Thrifts,
and Restructuring Commercial Loans.
