Campus Health Services
The James A. Taylor Campus Health Services provides health care for UNC School of Law students who have paid the student health fee. This fee is included with all other student fees paid by full-time students. All clinics operate on an appointment basis, but if you have an emergency, Campus Health does have a 24-hour facility. Services included in the student health fee are non-specialized treatment, sports medicine, women's health, mental health and health education. Additional services offered at nominal fees include dermatology and allergy injection clinics. Spouses of full-time students may obtain coverage by paying the $173 per semester health fee, even if they are not UNC-Chapel Hill students. Children and other dependents are NOT eligible for coverage.
You may contact Campus Health Services at (919) 966-2281 for hours of operation.
Insurance
Students who wish to purchase a comprehensive health insurance plan that supplements the Campus Health Services can purchase a plan through Hill, Chesson and Woody. The student health plan provides additional coverage that picks up where CHS leaves off. For more information, call (919) 967-5900.
Pharmacy
Students may fill prescriptions written by Campus Health Services physicians in the pharmacy, usually at a reduced rate from drugstore prices. Some over-the-counter medications may also be purchased. To contact the Campus Health Service pharmacy, call (919) 966-6554.
