Law school by nature is competitive; that's where Carolina law makes a big difference. They tell you at orientation that Carolina Law is a family, and for the most part it really is. The professors, staff and administration are always ready to listen and advise. While you might be competing against your fellow students for jobs and rankings, it never feels that way. Instead, it's a group effort with friends always willing to share notes, help with outlines and lend study materials. Carolina is a great place to go to make law school a memorable part of your life, but not let it take over your life.

The halls of Carolina Law challenge me with spirited debates about justice and our role as future lawyers. Yet, I am also energized by the laughter, camaraderie, and perspective of people from all walks of life who set Carolina apart.

Chapel Hill and Carolina have a mystique about them. When I decided to come to Carolina, my family and friends were all jealous because of all we had heard about Carolina's world-class academic reputation, beautiful campus, and abundance of cultural and sporting activities. As my time here winds down, all I can say is, everything I had heard about Carolina was true. I've loved every minute of my Carolina experience and these years will always be special to me.
