An Invitation to Visit
There is much to offer here at Carolina Law, and we take pride in showing all the wonderful things that our law school and the surrounding community have to offer. Visitors are always welcome, and we encourage you to take advantage of any of the following visitation options:
Daily Visitation Program: Fall 2009
Each fall and spring semester, the Office of Admissions hosts the Daily Visitation Program. This program allows prospective applicants to receive a student led tour of the law school, followed by the observation of a first year law class. The program has proven to be very informative, as it gives our visitors a glimpse into the typical day of a law student while exposing them to the Carolina Law environment.
The Daily Visitation Program is available each weekday that classes are in session through December 3rd, 2009. To participate in this program, visitors must schedule an appointment at least one week in advance by contacting the Office of Admissions at 919-962-5109.
Tours of the law school are available on Saturday, by request only. However, it is our preference for you to experience and visit Carolina Law School when classes are in session. Please allow 2 - 2 1/2 hours for the program. If you must cancel your appointment, we request that you give us at least 24 hours of notice.
Open House
The UNC School of Law Office of Admissions will be hosting our Fall Open House scheduled for Friday, December 4th, 2009. This event provides prospective applicants with an excellent opportunity to gain insight into our law school. Some of the highlights will address various topics including but not limited to the admissions and application process, funding your legal education and employment opportunities after graduation. Please join us on this day and take advantage of hearing from our distinguished faculty and speaking with students first hand about their experiences at Carolina Law!
To register for this event, please send an e-mail to law_admissions@unc.edu and be sure to include the following information in your RSVP. Additionally, please include in your reservation the number of guests that will be attending the event with you.

Individual Appointments
For those who are unable to participate in the daily visitation program or attend any of our open houses and special programs, we will do our best to accommodate your visit. You are encouraged to stop by the Admissions Office any time Monday-Friday between 8:30a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to ask questions and to take a self-guided tour however, it is our preference you schedule an appointment in advance. Please realize that during the Fall, we are often on the road recruiting so it is unlikely that you'll be able to speak with the Assistant Dean or Director of Admissions, if you do not have an appointment to meet with them. During the winter and spring, we are busy reading files or meeting with those who have appointments. While we do our best to accommodate everyone who visits, the best way to insure that there is someone available to meet with you if you are unable to attend a recruiting event is to call or email to make an appointment.
If you have an appointment and you must cancel it, we request that you give us at least 24 hours of notice so that we may plan accordingly. Please note that the Office of Admissions is not open on Saturdays.
Self-Guided Tours
Self-guided tours are available on a daily basis, regardless of whether law school classes are in session. Tour information is available at the receptionist's desk at the law school's main entrance.
Campus Tours
Carolina Law is located on one of the nation's most beautiful college campuses. Campus tours can be arranged through the University's Visitors' Center. For tour information, please call 919-962-1630.
