Scholarship and Loan Opportunities

All accepted students are automatically considered for merit- and need-based scholarships awarded by the School of Law. Many endowed scholarships, awarded on the basis of superior academic performance and demonstrated need, have also been established through the generous resources of the Law Alumni Association. If you wish to apply for loans and grants, you will need to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the College Scholarship Services as soon as possible.

Students are generally notified of financial aid awards by late June.

Please note: In order to be eligible for the law school's internally funded need-based scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year, students must complete and submit the FAFSA on or prior to March 1, 2008, and must complete the parental information portion of the FAFSA unless s/he will have reached the age of 25 on or prior to March 1, 2008.

FAFSA forms are usually available from student aid offices at most colleges and universities as well as from local banks. The forms may also be obtained from the University's Office of Scholarships and Student Aid.
