Allies and Advocates Program

Public service oriented students find a true family at UNC School of Law. We are home to a community of students, faculty and staff who care about each other and support each other in their public service career aspirations.

UNC School of Law's Office of Public Services Programs' Allies and Advocates program houses a range of events and programs designed to bring the public interest community together to not only learn from each other, but also support each other through their individual career exploration process.

Allies and Advocates events and programs include:

• Weekly Public Service Newsletter
• Public Interest Peer Mentor Program
• Brown Bag lunch programs:
  • Highlighting public interest faculty, staff and student research and engagement
  • Highlighting topics related to the public interest career exploration process
• Public Interest Retreat
• Public interest faculty, staff and student socials
• Public Interest alumni panels and gatherings
• Pro Bono/Public Interest Celebration every spring
