UNC Law Democrats: Voter Protection with Obama for America
Thursday,
October 11, 5:00-7:00 p.m., Room 5042
On the campaign, voter protection generally fulfills
two functions: 1.) monitoring state policies that will affect voter rights
and turnout, and 2.) recruiting and training volunteer lawyers to
watch over individual polling locations. This year we're expecting up
to 40% of the legal volunteer spots to be filled by law students. If
you're interested in organizing, recruiting, and training law students
throughout North Carolina, or would like to monitor a precinct on election
day, and get pro bono hours, please sign up through this Google form.
Women in Law Supplement Sale
Monday, October 15, 11:45-1:00 p.m., Rotunda
Women in Law will be tabling in the Rotunda to
sell used 1L, 2L, and 3L course supplements to help you prepare your outlines
and ace your finals! The sale will also be held at the same time and
place on Wednesday, October 17.

Driver's License Restoration Project Case Preparation

Pro Bono Winter Break Trip Applications Due
Sunday, October 14, 11:59 p.m.
This year, the Pro Bono Program will be taking
fifteen to twenty students to the Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation in
Western North Carolina. There, students will help run a walk in legal clinic
for residents. Students interested in applying must fill out and submit their applications online.
Applications are due Sunday, October 14 at
11:59 p.m. and applicants will be notified of their selection
status by Sunday, October 21 at 11:59 p.m.
