Area Positions

  • Area 1 is the main column for the page

  • Go to the Pro Bono module on your My Carolina Law homepage and click “Update My Time Sheet,” or go directly to https://my.law.unc.edu/students/studentorgs/probonotasks.aspx.
  • Click “Add new task to a project.”
  • Click “Select an Organization."
  • Type in the name of your organization, and click Search Organizations.
  • Select the organization you did Pro Bono work for and click “Use Selected Organization,” which will appear once you select the organization. If there is no organization listed, click “Request an Organization” and fill out the required information to create a new organization. Your Class Coordinator will be in touch when the organization has been created in the database.
  • Select your project from the drop-down menu. If a project that describes your work is not listed, select “Generic.”
  • Click “Show Tasks.”
  • Click “Add a New Task.”
  • Enter the information about the work you completed, then click “Finish.”
  • Click “Close.”
  • Click “Finish” again on the main screen.
  • You should receive an email in your UNC email account letting you know the hours have been correctly logged. If you don’t receive this email, follow up with your Class Coordinator (http://www.law.unc.edu/studentlife/probono/meetboard/) or with uncprobonoprojects@gmail.com.
