Transition-to-Practice Program

Judith Wegner teaching

UNC School of Law's rigorous transition-to-practice courses expand upon the classroom lessons of the first- and second-year curriculum, moving upper-level students from academic-related work to practice-related work.

Nearly 30 available transition-to-practice courses give students the unique opportunity to explore topics more deeply and apply what they have learned to real-world problems. In these classes, students will hone practical skills, working closely with faculty on projects and learning from practitioners on a broad range of legal topics -- from media law to intellectual property, from biotechnology to human rights.
